American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh is organizing US TRADE SHOW 2013 at the Ruposhi Bangla Hotel from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm, during February 14-16 (Thursday - Saturday). North South University is one participant in the Trade Show among few other private universities.

Wi-Fi based Printing System for Students!

As a part of the development program, NSU IS Dept. has integrated successfully to the students printing facility through NSU Wi-Fi network system. You can now access to lab network printers located at Computer Center, Library Building, Level-6 using your laptops from anywhere in the NSU campus.

The Wi-Fi based printing systems will also integrate automatically printed page calculation and subtract from your print quota (200 pages per semester). Please visit the help desk for details.

Govt Bans Cellphones in Classrooms!

Dhaka, Apr 11 (bdnews24.com) — The government has imposed a blanket ban on the use of mobile phones in classrooms.

The education ministry issued a circular on Monday banning use of cell phones in classrooms either by students or teachers.

The government move comes a day after child parliamentarians suggested taking steps in this regard.

Bangladesh Wins!

Bangladesh DOTA (Defence of the Ancients) team has won the SACGC (South Asian Cyber Games Championship) DOTA-cup by defeating India in the finals. This is the first time for Bangladesh to win such an international computer game tournament. The group was formed with one team from Bangladesh, one team from Srilanka and two teams form India.





I feel very proud to mention that one of the key players is an NSU student Ashiqur Rahman Moin (Sami).

Hope this type of success will continue for Bangladesh in future.

Swine Flu (H1N1 virus) in Bangladesh

1. Sudden fever for 2-3 days with temperature of 101-103 deg and it doesn't come below 100 deg even after taking medicine.
