Impotant Update!

I (along with my wife & eldest daughter) was recently diagnosed with Dengue. We are receiving treatment at a local hospital and recovering gradually, however still very weak. I have been instructed to stay away from internet/pc/cellphone as much as possible. So, it will not be a long post! 

I hope you understand it's not practically possible for me to check and reply to every email at this point. Sunday was the first exam day and the first office day of the week, so could not make any alternet arrangement which was possible for Monday exams. Anyway, here is the plan for people who still have unfinished tasks.

FIN440 final exam will be held at 11 am @ NAC514 on Thursday (20th August). For those of you who missed other various exams earlier, please contact Dept. of Acct n Fin  secretary Ms Farzana Sultana by visiting her dept office physically for your makeup exam arrangements. Those of you who still could not submit your reports, do that as soon as possible to her. If you have any especial issues, you may let her know. Please be patient and understanding when you approach her with any request as she is a very busy person serving so many dept faculty members and students.

BUS172: Quiz-I and Mid-I

As discussed in the class, first quiz and midterm would be held on 23-June (Monday) and 25-June (Wednesday) respectively during class hours. As such, we will start chapter 5 from tomorrow. However, syllabus for quiz and midterm will still be chapters 1 through 4.

Due to lifting of blockade, tomorrow (13th of January) has been fixed as MW class day. Please be advised that we will be following regular MW class timing instead of the long sessions.

Previously the Registrar's Office informed us to follow regular schedule for tomorrow's ST class day. But according to latest announcement, we will be following marathon schedule for tomorrow's ST schedule. So, beware of the new timing for the following classes.

FIN254.Section14: 1 pm to 3:15 pm (instead of 11:20 am)
FIN254.Section15: 5:30 pm to 7:45 pm (instead of 2:40 pm)
ACT201.Seciton19: 7:45 pm to 10 pm (instead of 4:20 pm)

Urgent Notice from the Registrar's Office!

This is for the information of all concerned that the undergraduate classes missed in the Fall 2013 semester will be made up with holding of make-up classes and in-class FINAL exams as per following schedule:

Friday, 10 January 2014 – MW Class

Tuesday, 14 January 2014 – ST Class

Friday, 17 January 2014 – MW Class + FINAL EXAMS [for MW]

Friday, 24 January 2014 – ST Class + FINAL EXAMS [for ST]

The duration of each class will be 2 hrs.15 minutes which will cover 2 (two) classes at a time.  The REVISED time slots are given below:

MW Class Tomorrow, ST Next Day!

Dear students, there will be MW classes tomorrow and ST classes the next day as per usual schedule. I already got the news about 48-hour hartal from tomorrow. However, from the BBA office we have been officially instructed to conduct our classes regardless of hartals and/or blockades.

So, those of you who can come to the campus, please come. I am sorry for those who will be unable to come due to adverse road conditions. This stalemate political situation seems to continue for a while. We will finish our syllabus as early as possible.

No Class on Hartal!

There will be no class tomorrow if hartal is observed. Please take necessary precautions and be extra careful when you are out on the roads. Hopefully classes will resume on the 6th of January (Monday).

Conference in Malaysia!

I will be out of the country to attend a conference in Malaysia. As my flight is in the evening of 28th December (Saturday), classes/exams will be held on that day. I will inshallah return on the 3rd of January (Friday) early in the morning, so Friday classes will also be held. As such, there will be no class between 29th of December (Sunday) and 2nd of January (Thursday). Makeup classes will be arranged once I come back.

BUS172: Midterm-II

The Registrar's Office has just announced 26th of December (Thursday) to be MW makeup class day. As such, the second midterm for BUS172 will be held on 26th December (Thursday) and we will have a regular class (MW) on Friday 27th of December.

In case there is a blockade or strike on 26th December (Thursday), midterm will be held on 27th December (Friday). And please don't forget... we have quiz 2 tomorrow in NAC415 at 12:30 pm. Best of luck for the quiz.

This is to inform all my BUS172 students that the second quiz will be held on the 25th of December, 2013 (Wednesday) in NAC415 at 12:30 pm followed by a review class.

Please inform all your classmates about this. Don't miss this class as there is no makeup for a missed quiz. You should also understand that the next available MW class after the quiz will be used for the second midterm.

I am very sorry for any inconveniences caused by this schedule. I hope you will understand the necessity of this given the fact that we have missed a lot of classes already because of ongoing country-wide blockade. Thanks.
